f
3780 Linne Rd. Chronology
Page 2
concludes it is unlikely measurable impact would ever be made on any
nearby domestic well from the Sinclair plume.
09/30/02 GTI report "Third Quarter 2002 Groundwater Monitoring Report" submitted
this date; GTI requested closure of the site.
03/03/03 SJCIEHD denied the request for closure; directed submittal of a Site
Conceptual Model, Feasibility Study and work plan to complete the site
investigation.
06/18/03 GTI report "Initial Site Conceptual Model" submitted this date.
06/25/03 GTI report "Feasibility Study" submitted this date.
11/10/03 Beginning date of a geoprobe investigation to define the lateral extent of
the soil contamination in preparation for remediation by overexcavation.
One additional shallow groundwater monitoring well, MW-5, was installed.
See GTI report "Additional Site Characterization" dated February 20, 2004.
04/26/04 GTI report "Feasibility Study Addendum (Cost Comparisons)" submitted
this date.
07/12/04 GTI report "Addendum to the Site Conceptual Model, Feasibility Study and
Corrective Action Plan" submitted this date.
02/07/05 Monitoring well MW-1 was destroyed in preparation for site remediation by
overexcavation.
02/23/05 Beginning date of remediation of contaminated soil at the site by
overexcavation and removal. The excavation continued for three days.
Clean overburden soil was kept separated from dirty soil. Contaminated
soil was hauled off for disposal. Soil samples were collected from the
bottom and sidewalls of the excavation. See GTI "Remedial Action Report"
dated August 11, 2005.
03/11/05 Installation of replacement monitoring well MW-1R. Routine quarterly
groundwater monitoring and sampling has continued at the site throughout
the duration of the investigation and remediation.
11/04/05 GTI report "Revised Remedial Action Report" submitted this date.
Approximately 400 cubic yards of soil was excavated from the site; some
contaminated soil was left behind due to disapproval from the State Water
Resources Control Board Cleanup Fund to do a complete removal. The
remediation removed as much contamination as could be removed and
stay within the restrictions imposed by the Cleanup Fund.
01/05/07 Soil Gas Survey performed this date. Six probes were advanced; one
probe had benzene and TPH concentration above ESL's. This point was
located near shop in an area where known soil contamination was left
behind. One additional probe was advanced near by; no benzene or TPH.
See GTI 'Report— Soil Gas Survey" dated January 29, 2007.
