The driving factor for
Mr. and Mrs. Sinclair is time. Property issues with family members make it imperative to
remediate the site as quickly as possible.
It was decided during the meeting that excavation would be the remedial alternative that
best fits the needs for the Sinclair Trucking site. GTI proposes to perform the soil
excavation work originally proposed in the June 25, 2003 Feasibility StudylCorrective
Action Plan (CAP). Justification for choosing soil excavation as the proposed remedial
1 alternative is discussed in Section 2.4.
The following sections address the issues and concerns outlined in the SJCIEHD May 2004
' letter.
2.0 COUNTY CORRESPONDANCE—MAY 19,2004
1 2.1 Site Conceptual Model Issues
' In the SJC/EHD May 2004 letter, Ms. Duncan states "... the borings logs submitted with the
SCM, on which the cross sectional diagram and the findings were based, have all been
altered from the original boring logs submitted to this agency, with the exception of the log
for monitoring well MW-101."
Boring logs altered from the original boring logs: Our software programs have changed-
since 1995.
