The driving factor for <br /> Mr. and Mrs. Sinclair is time. Property issues with family members make it imperative to <br /> remediate the site as quickly as possible. <br /> It was decided during the meeting that excavation would be the remedial alternative that <br /> best fits the needs for the Sinclair Trucking site. GTI proposes to perform the soil <br /> excavation work originally proposed in the June 25, 2003 Feasibility StudylCorrective <br /> Action Plan (CAP). Justification for choosing soil excavation as the proposed remedial <br /> 1 alternative is discussed in Section 2.4. <br /> The following sections address the issues and concerns outlined in the SJCIEHD May 2004 <br /> ' letter. <br /> 2.0 COUNTY CORRESPONDANCE—MAY 19,2004 <br /> 1 2.1 Site Conceptual Model Issues <br /> ' In the SJC/EHD May 2004 letter, Ms. Duncan states "... the borings logs submitted with the <br /> SCM, on which the cross sectional diagram and the findings were based, have all been <br /> altered from the original boring logs submitted to this agency, with the exception of the log <br /> for monitoring well MW-101." <br /> Boring logs altered from the original boring logs: Our software programs have changed- <br /> since 1995. The original borehole logs submitted in 1995 were constructed on a software <br /> ' program that we no longer have in use. Electronic copies of the 1995 borehole logs are not <br /> available any longer and for the purpose of preparing the Site Conceptual Model (SCM), the <br /> data from the original field notes were used in reconstructing the borehole logs on our <br />
