1Quarterly Report - First Quarter 2002 GC
FRANKLYN COLE PROPERTY
' 7505 West Linne Road, Tracy, California MAR 0 4 20OZ
ENVIRMNAIENT HEALTH
' 1.0. INTRODUCTION AND SCOPE OF WORK PERMIT/SERVICES
At the request of Mr. Franklyn Cole, Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (AGE) has prepared this
' report for 7505 West Linne Road,Tracy,California(the site). This report documents procedures and
results for a quarterly ground water monitoring event conducted during the first quarter 2002. The
location and vicinity of the site are illustrated on Figure 1. The locations of on-site structures,
borings, wells and the former UST and dispenser are depicted on Figure 2.
' This report has been prepared in accordance with the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control
Board (CVRWQCB) guidelines for the investigation of underground storage tank (UST) sites.
Background information and a summary of prior investigations at the site are Included in the
AGE-prepared document titled Work Plan -April 1999, dated 23 April 1999. Quarterly monitoring
data from August 1999 to the present is summarized in Tables 1 and 3 of this report.
2.0. PROCEDURES
' . Monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-6 were monitored and sampled on 30 January 2002. Field
work was performed in accordance with the AGE-prepared document, Work Plan for Additional
Well Installation -December 2000, dated 20 December 2000. The work plan was approved by the
' San Joaquin County Public Health Services-Environmental Health Division(PHS-EHD)by letter
dated 02 January 2001.
2.L WELL MONITORING AND EVACUATION
' Depths to ground water were measured in each well from the tops of the well casings to the nearest
0.01-foot utilizing a Solinst water level meter. Ground water elevation in each well at the site was
calculated by subtracting the measured depths to ground water from the surveyed casing elevations
' (Table 1). Ground water elevations were plotted and contoured on a scaled site map (Figure 3).
' After water levels were measured, approximately 4 to 6 gallons of ground water(a minimum of three
casing-water volumes per well)were removed from wells MW-1,MW-2,MW-3,MW-5 and MW-6
and approximately 12 gallons of ground water were removed from well MW-4 before the well was
' __.., dry,_utilizing a =new disposable, dedicated polyethylene bailer at each well. Temperature, pH and _
conductivity were measured for stabilization at regular purge-volume intervals from each well using
an Oakton water analyzer. Field data and logs are in Appendix A. Purged ground water was
' containerized in DOT-approved model 17H 55-gallon drums and stored at the site.
Advanced GcoEnviron mental,Inc.
