1
LIMITED SUBSURFACE INVESTIGATION
' 7505 West Linne Road
Tracy, California
' April 1995
' 1.0 INTRODUCTION
In accordance with a request from Mr. Franklyn Cole of the Four Corners Restaurant,
' Geological Audit Services, Inc. (GeoAudit) conducted field activities comprising soil drilling
and sampling at 7505 West Linne Road in Tracy, California (Location Map - Figure 1). The
purpose of this investigation was to determine the extent of impacted soil as a result of the
' former operation of gasoline fuel dispensers at the site. A plan for the site is illustrated in
Figure 2 - Site Plan. Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (AGE) was subsequently retained
' by Mr. Cole to complete the report on field data compiled by GeoAudit.
2.0 BACKGROUND
2.1 Site Location
Located at the northwest corner of the intersection of Chrisman Road and 1-1111le Road, the
site is in a flat rural/agriculturaI area southeast'of Tracy, California, in San Joaquin County.
Jefferson School is located across the intersection southeast of the site.
2.2 UST Removal
It is our understanding that two (2) 1,500-gallon underground storage tanks (USTs), piping
and dispensers were removed from the property in October of 1993. Samples collected from
beneath the tanks did not detect any hydrocarbon contamination. However, samples
collected near the dispenser area at a depth of six (6) feet indicated that an unauthorized
release of hydrocarbons had occurred. Total petroleum hydrocarbons as,gasoline (TPH-g)
' were detected at concentrations of 45,000 mg/kg or parts per million (ppn1);, volatile
aromatics (benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and xylenes: BTE&X) were detected at
concentrations as great as 6,100 ppm (xylenes).
' 2.3 Ground Water Depth and Flow Direction
=4i The Well Completion-Report fora domestic water well-drilled in January of 1992.states that —---_ _- ----°I
' water was encountered near the site at'a depth of 54 feet. According to the San Joaquin

County Flood Control Map (Fall 1990), the prevailing ground water flow direction is to the
north.
- I
. _ Ad—JG—E-imnnKm.1-NC
F4)UR iOR.'E.RS7a.451AG E-NC-950100 -
i
" I
i
