The following is a summary of the evaluation of
analytical data for groundwater samples collected for the groundwater monitoring
events at the Site. The sampling events occurred on June 1 and 23, 2006. Groundwater
' samples were submitted to Curtis & Tompkins, Ltd., located in Berkeley, California.
The Curtis & Tompkins, Ltd. sample delivery group (SDG) evaluated for this report
was 182286. Groundwater samples were collected for analysis using the following
EPA methods:
Groundwater samples collected on June 1, 2006 were analyzed for the following
' pyrolytic oil constituents:
• volatile organic compounds (VOCs) by EPA Method 8260B
' • semivolatile organic compounds (SVOCs) by EPA Method 8270C
• diesel-range (C10-C24) hydrocarbons and motor oil-range (C24-C36) hydrocarbons
' by EPA Method 8015M
Groundwater samples collected on June 23, 2006 were analyzed for the following
' metals and pyrolytic oil constituents:
total concentrations of Title 22 metals: antimony, arsenic, barium, beryllium,
' cadmium, chromium, cobalt, copper, lead, mercury, molybdenum, nickel,
selenium, silver, thallium, vanadium, and zinc by EPA Method 6010 and mercury
by EPA Method 7471A
' diesel-range hydrocarbons and motor oil-range hydrocarbons by EPA Method
8015M (MW-8 only)
' The data were evaluated based on the following parameters according to the U.S. EPA
Guidance for Level III data validation:
' data completeness
• holding times
' blanks
• system monitoring compound spike recoveries (surrogates)
• matrix spike/matrix spike duplicate recoveries (MS/MSD)
1
1
