HOLT <br />of California 0 <br />JOB DESCRIPTION <br />SERVICE SHOP FOREPERSON <br />EARTHMOVING DIVISION/STOCKTON <br />EXEMPT: <br />No <br />JOB CODE: <br />SALARY LEVEL: <br />Union <br />DIVISION: Earthmoving <br />SHIFT: <br />Day <br />DEPARTMENT: Service <br />LOCATION: <br />Stockton <br />EMPLOYEE: <br />REPORTS TO: <br />Eric Williamson <br />PREPARED BY: <br />Kelly Waugh, Human Resources <br />DATE: <br />APPROVED BY: <br />Dan Johns, Vice President <br />DATE: <br />SUMMARY <br />Coordinate daily shop operations of earthmoving service department by performing the following duties. <br />QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS <br />To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. <br />The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. <br />Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential <br />functions. <br />ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES <br />Coordinate daily shop operation with shop foreperson <br />Daily communication with customers in regards to repair progress and costs <br />Control operations costs and product quality <br />Monitor and close work orders daily <br />Interpret company policies to workers and enforce safety and environmental regulations <br />Interpret specifications and job orders to workers and assign duties <br />Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department <br />and work crew. <br />Initiate or suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals. <br />Perform activities of workers supervised. <br />Other duties may be assigned. <br />SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES <br />Directly supervise 5 to 10 employees in the service department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in <br />accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, <br />hiring and training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work; performance reviews and <br />disciplining. <br />
