Id
14
San Joaquin County Public Health Services, (209)468-3420
Environmental Health Department
Stockton Fire Department, Hazardous Materials (209) 937-8528
EVACUATION PLAN FOR FACILITY PERSONNEL
Emergency Signal: Fire Alarm System and Public Address System
Signaled by: Automatic Sensor System and/or Public Address System
Employee Actions upon Hearing Signal: Immediately proceed in a safe manner to the
designated evacuation point.
If for some reason the emergency signal should not be working, the employee who first
becomes aware of the situation shall immediately pass the word along until it reaches the
emergency response person who can take over. The emergency response person will
make every effort to ensure that every employee is made aware of the potential problem.
Each employee is responsible to stop what he/she is doing and proceed in a safe manner
to the reassemble area.
Evacuation Procedures and Gathering Point: Proceed in a safe manner to the
main parking lot and assemble behind each foreperson/supervisor for identification.
Headcount Procedure: Each foreperson/supervisor will take an immediate
headcount of his/her employees. If employees are missing, foreperson/supervisor is to
notify emergency response team of all personnel not accounted for, as well as their
probable location on site.
Employees must be capable of initiating evacuation plan and procedures immediately.
The employees should notify and advise a designated emergency coordinator to the best
of their ability, concerning the incident. Emergency coordinators will assume and remain
in charge of the emergency and actions taken until such time that professional emergency
agencies arrive and take over the emergency actions. The emergency coordinator directs
the shutdown of equipment and systems and notifies the proper agencies as soon as
possible. The facility's emergency coordinators will make themselves available to
whatever agency's representative takes control of the incident.
Emergency Equipment: The facility is equipped with an oil-water separator, which
acts as a control to prevent releases from the main shop building. All floor drains within
the main shop building flow to the oil-water separator.
Holt maintains spill equipment at this site for containing incidental spills. The spill
equipment includes absorbent pads and socks, towels and disposal bags. Spill equipment,
fire extinguishers and other response equipment are readily accessible and working
properly.
