canister. The duplicate samples, their primary counterparts, and the QA/QC samples will be collected in
certified clean 6-liter Summa canisters with certified clean sampling apparatuses (filters, splitters, and
flow meters). The remaining soil gas samples will be collected in certified clean 6-liter Summa canisters.
The samples will be analyzed for volatile organic compounds by EPA Method TO-15. Soil gas sampling
will be conducted in accordance with the DTSC Advisory—Active Soil Gas Investigations dated January
28, 2003. Groundwater samples will be collected in preserved glass containers and analyzed for volatile
organic compounds by EPA Method 8260, to include 1,3-butadiene at a reporting limit of lug/L. Severn
Trent Laboratories(STL) Chicago will conduct the groundwater analyses.
The soil gas fieldwork will begin as soon as possible upon DTSC approval of this scope, and is tentatively
scheduled for the week of December 27, 2004. DTSC will be advised of the final fieldwork dates as soon
as activities are scheduled. The site's neighbors will be notified of the fieldwork at least seven business
days before fieldwork commences. Results of the additional soil gas investigation will be submitted in an
SSI addendum. Should you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us at 209-234-
0518.
Respectfully submitted,
CONDOR EARTH TECHNOLOGIES, INC.
eiA
Alexander B.
