' 0 0
' The proposed sampling plan may be constrained or modified due to a variety of factors at
the Site (i.e. property owners consent, current structures on the Site, dogs, resident
' availability, fences, location accessibility). At the time of the workplan writing, Site
Access Agreements have been obtained from 16 of the 20 property owners at the Site.
' When the other properties become accessible, samples will be collected as proposed in
this report. All modifications and variations of the sampling plans will be documented in
the PEA Report. If significant modifications to the sampling plan are required,DTSC
will be notified prior to the commencement of sampling.
Due to the large volume of samples and accessibility issues stated above, only surface
' samples may be collected at this time. After the surface samples are collected, a wooden
stake and flagging will be placed in the sample hole and the bearings and distance will be
measured from appropriate permanent structures at the Site. Pending the results of the
' surface samples, deeper and step-out samples will be collected and analyzed if necessary.
6.2 Proposed Sampling and Analytical Testing Plans
' A summary table of all parcels on the Site and corresponding sample analysis is located
in Tables 5 and 6 below. In addition,Figures 9-28 show a parcel by parcel sampling
plan. More complete discussion of the sample plan follows Tables 5 and 6.
' Table 5: Summary of Sam le Analysis
Sample Sample Sample Location Analysis EPA
'
Acronym* Method
Inorganic CAM 1 per parcel CAM 17 Metals 6010
Arsenic Ar 1 per parcel Arsenic 6020
' Soil Vapor SVS Throughout Site VOC's TO-14
Samples Methane ASTM 1946
Hydrogen 16
' Sulfide
Lead Based _CB-P Perimeter of current and Lead 6010B
Paint historic buildings built prior
' to 1980's
Asbestos As Footprint of demolished Asbestos CARB 435
heated buildings
' Auto AM Historic or observed spots VOC's 8260B
Maintenance throughout Site and under the TPH-D 8015M
' transformer TPH-Motor Oil 8015M
PCB's PCB APN 149-085-13 PCB's 8080
(Transformer)
PAH's PAH APN 149-085-14(Residence PAH's 8310
destroyed by fire)
SVOC's SVOC APN 149-085-18 (Paint, SVOC's 8270D
' ainters Stora e)
*=All samples will be labeled with the following system: Analyte-last 2 number of the
APN Number-Sample Number-Depth.
