The property is a storage yard for Commercial Salvage
and consists of two parcels, APN 15318004 and APN 15318055. Access to the property is from E Weber St.
Approximately 550 waste tires were stored outdoors on the property. All sites storing, hauling, generating or
processing waste tires are required to obtain a Tire Program ID number(TPID). Each separate address needs an
unique TPID. All sites storing 500 or more waste tires outdoors are required to obtain a Waste Tire Facility Permit.
s
Hauling 10 or more waste or used tires can be done only by a Registered Waste Tire Hauler. Obtain a California
Uniform Waste and Used Tire Manifest from the hauler every time tires are hauled from the site. Retain a file of the
manifests for three years.
You are directed to:
1. Obtain a TPID number from the California Integrated Waste Management Board (CIWMB). Call 1-866-896-
0600 or fill out the enclosed form CIWMB 690 and submit it to the CIWMB.
2. Obtain a Waste Tire Facility Permit to store 500 or more waste tires outdoors. Apply for the permit by
completing the enclosed form CIWMB-500 and submit it to the CIWMB, or remove all waste tires from the
site.
3. Use a Registered Waste Tire Hauler when moving 10 or more waste tires. Obtain a Waste Tire Manifest
from the hauler for each load of tires.
A re-inspection will be conducted on August 26, 2005. Failure to correct the violations detailed above may result
in further enforcement actions, which include the issuing of Enforcement Orders and/or Administrative Penalties of up
to$25,000 per violation (PRC 42962(a)).
If you have any questions, you can contact Garrett Backus, REHS, at(209)468-2986.
Garrett Backus, REHS
cc: David Volden, CIWMB MS 22a
