Main St.
Manteca, CA
Project No 662 2
' December 22, 2000
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
' This report summarizes the 4`h Quarter 2000 round of groundwater monitoring and testing
that took place on November 10, 2000 The test results show that detectable concentrations
of the oxygenated fuel compounds (OFCs) were detected in two of the three wells BTEX
and TPH-G were not detected in any of the groundwater samples This is the fourth
consecutive event in which this situation has occurred
' The average depth to groundwater at the site was 21 03 feet bgs Groundwater gradient
calculations show that groundwater flow was S79°E with a slope of 0 0008 ft/ft
' Groundwater direction has varied in the four monitoring events completed to date The
direction has fluctuated between east-northeast and south-southeast during this
investigation
' 10 GROUNDWATER MONITORING
1.1 Hydrogeology of Site
The dominant soil type in the upper 40 feet of subsurface geologic soils investigated is fine
to course grained sand alternating with plastic clays The average groundwater elevation on
November 10, 2000 was approximately 17 85 feet above MSL, which is about 21 03 feet
' below ground surface
1
