1 <br /> Geological Tedmics the Page 3 <br /> Groundwater Monitoring Report <br /> Project No 662 2 <br /> October 3, 2002 <br /> All water purged from each monitoring well and not used as a sample, was placed in a 55 <br /> gallon DOT approved container, properly labeled and stored on site until its proper <br /> disposition can be arranged <br /> Groundwater monitoring field logs are included in Appendix C <br /> 13 Laboratory Analyses <br /> ' The groundwater samples collected on July 17, 2002, were delivered to California <br /> Laboratory Services (Department of Health Services Certification No 1233) of Rancho <br /> Cordova, California, for analysis <br /> The groundwater samples were analyzed for <br /> • Benzene, Toluene, Ethyl Benzene, and Xylene(BTEX) by EPA method 602/5030 <br /> • Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons as Gasoline(TPH-G) by EPA method 5030/8015(M) <br /> • Oxygenated Fuel Compounds (MTBE, D1PE, ETBE, TAME & TBA) by EPA method <br /> 8260 <br /> 01,2 DCA and EDB by EPA Method 8260 <br /> • Methanol & Ethanol by GC-FID <br /> The detection limits for the above analyses are listed in Table 2 of Appendix A while the lab <br /> analytical results are presented in Appendix B <br /> As required under AB2886, the laboratory data was submitted electronically to GeoTracker <br /> on October 2, 2002 (confirmation # 4194784522) <br /> ' 2.0 FINDINGS AND DISCUSSION <br /> The results of the groundwater sample analysis show the following <br /> • MW-1 contained the gasoline oxygenates MTBE at 1600 Rg/l, ETBE at 9 2 ug/l, and <br /> TAME at 16 ug/l <br /> • MW-2, which is upgradient of the former USTs, has not contained contaminant <br /> concentrations above the laboratory detection Iimits for all eleven quarterly events <br /> completed thus far in the investigation <br /> • MW-3 contained the gasoline oxygenates MTBE at 4600 Rg/1, ETBE at I I ug/l, and <br /> TAME at 26 ug/l <br /> ' • Newly installed deep screened well MW-104 contained 8 4 ug/l MTBE <br /> • Figure 4 MTBE vs Groundwater Elevation - MW-3 illustrates a fairly direct <br /> relationship between the concentration of MTBE in groundwater and the elevation of <br /> groundwater in well MW-3 <br />
