Main St.
Manteca, CA
Project No 662 2
November 15, 2004
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
' This report summarizes the 3`d Quarter 2004 groundwater monitoring event that took place
on August 18, 2004 The laboratory analyses reveal that low to moderate concentrations of
' the oxygenated fuel compound MTBE was detected in three of the four wells sampled
Gasoline constituents TPH-G and BTEX were not detected in any of the groundwater
samples
In accordance with San Joaquin County directives, the groundwater samples were also
analyzed for diesel, methanol, ethanol, ETBE, DIPE, TAME, TBA, 1,2-DCA, EBD and lead
' Three wells contained lead above the laboratory reporting limits- MW-1, MW-3 and MW-
104 at 24, 28 and 37 [tg/l, respectively These values are slightly above the laboratory's
reporting limit of 15 Eig/l
' The average elevation of groundwater at the site was 9 06 feet mean sea level, or
approximately 30 feet below grade Groundwater gradient calculations show that
groundwater flow was N89°E with a slope of 0 001 ft/ft The predominant groundwater
direction has been to the east-northeast during the investigation
' In our April 19, 2004 work plan GTI proposed additional groundwater plume definition and a
pilot test For dual phase extraction/aquifer pumping The SJC/EHD approved the work plan
in their May 21, 2004 facsimile correspondence The first phase of the work was completed
