Page 3 Groundwater Momtonng Report ' Project No 662 2 • August 30,2004 ' A chain of custody document, listing all samples collected, accompanied the samples from field to laboratory, thereby providing a means to track their movement and insure their ' integrity All water purged from each monitoring well and not used as a sample, was placed in a 55 ' gallon DOT approved container, properly labeled and stored on site until its proper disposition can be arranged Groundwater monitoring field logs are included in Appendix C 1.3 Laboratory Analyses The groundwater samples collected on June 4, 2004, were delivered to Sherwood Labs (Department of Health Services Certification No 1400) of Hilmar, California, for analysis ' Theoundwater zed for �' samples P were analyzed ' • Benzene, Toluene, Ethyl Benzene and Xylene (BTEX)by EPA method 8020 • Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons as Gasoline (TPH-G)by EPA method 5030/8015(M) • Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons as Diesel (TPH-D) by EPA method M8100 Sherwood forwarded samples to Entech Analytical Labs (Department of Health Services Certification No 2346) of Santa Clara, California, for analysis of ' • Oxygenated Fuel Compounds (MTBE, DIPE, ETBE, TAME & TBA) by EPA method 8260 • 1,2 DCA, EDB and ethanol by EPA method 8260 ' • Methanol by EPA method 8015 • Lead by method 6010 ' The detection limits for the above analyses are listed in Table 2 of Appendix A while the lab analytical results are presented in Appendix B ' As required under AB2886, the laboratory data & groundwater elevation were submitted electronically to GeoTracker on August 6 and 23, 2004 (confirmation # 2783949553 & ' 4893247842) ' 2.0 FINDINGS AND DISCUSSION The results of the groundwater sample analysis show the following ' • MW-1 contained the gasoline oxygenate MTBE at 660 lig/l This is consistent with past results
