Main St.
Manteca, CA
I
Project No 662 2
April 12, 2004
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
' This report summarizes the I" Quarter 2004 groundwater monitoring event that took place
on February 12, 2004 The laboratory analyses reveal that low to moderate concentrations
of the oxygenated fuel compound MTBE was detected in four of the site's five wells New
extraction well EW-1 contained 120 ug/I MTBE BTEX and TPH-G were not detected in
any of the groundwater samples This data is consistent with past events
In accordance with San Joaquin County directives, the groundwater samples were also
analyzed for diesel, methanol, ethanol, ETBE, DIPE, TAME, TBA, 1,2-DCA, EBD and
lead The samples did not contain any of these constituents above the laboratory reporting
' limits
An additional deep well was installed at the site on May 30, 2002 Well MW-104 was
' placed on the eastern edge of the former UST excavation This well contained minor
concentration of MTBE for the seventh consecutive event
The average elevation of groundwater at the site was 10 21 feet mean sea level, or
approximately 29 feet below grade Groundwater gradient calculations show that
' groundwater flow was N56°E with a slope of 0 001 ft/ft The predominant groundwater
direction has been to the east-northeast during the investigation
