Main St.
Manteca, CA
} 4
Project No. 662.2
January 27, 2004
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
This report summarizes the 4"' Quarter 2003 groundwater monitoring event that took place yy
on November 21, 2003. The laboratory analyses reveal that low to moderate concentrations h
of the oxygenated fuel compound MTBE was detected in three of the site's four welts.
BTEX and TPH-G were not detected in any of the groundwater samples. This data is
consistent with past events. ;
In accordance with San Count Joaquindirectives,
q y the groundwater samples were also
.analyzed for diesel, methanol, ethanol, ETBE, DIPE, TAME, TBA, 1,2-DCA, EBD and
lead. The samples did not contain any of these constituents above the laboratory.reporting
limits. i
An additional deep well was installed at the site on May 30, 2002. Well MW-104 was
laced on the eastern edge of the
. p g former UST excavation. This well contained MTBE (2.$
ug/I) for the sixth consecutive event.
I
The average elevation of groundwater at the site was 10.21 feet mean sea level, or
approximately 29 feet below grade. Groundwater .gradient calculations show that
groundwater flow was S75°E with a slope of 0.0013 ft/ft. The predominant groundwater
( direction has been to the east-northeast during the investigation. I
