• C,ealogical nchgia Ina <br /> ' 1101 71h Street <br /> Modesto,Califomia 95354 <br /> (209)522-4119/Fax#522-4227 <br /> REPORT <br /> ' Groundwater Monitoring <br /> 4th Quarter 2005 <br /> ' Cardoza <br /> Super Stop Market <br /> 290 N.Main St. <br /> Manteca, CA <br /> ' Project No 662 2 <br /> January 25, 2006 <br /> EXECUTIVE SUMMARY <br /> ' This report summarizes the 4`h Quarter 2005 groundwater monitoring event that took place on <br /> November 18, 2005 The laboratory analyses reveal that low to moderate concentrations of <br /> the oxygenated fuel compound MTBE was detected in five of the seven wells sampled <br /> Gasoline constituents TPH-G were detected in three of the groundwater monitoring wells <br /> This is consistent with the historical data <br /> The average elevation of groundwater at the site was approximately 15 70 feet mean sea <br /> pP Y <br /> level, or approximately 23 feet below grade Groundwater gradient calculations show that <br /> ' groundwater flow was N87E with a slope of 0 001 ft/ft The predominant groundwater <br /> direction has been to the east-northeast during the investigation <br /> ' In our March 25, 2005 work plan Geological Technics Inc (GTI) proposed interim soil and <br /> groundwater remediation The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Division <br /> (SJC/EHD) approved the work plan, however the USTCFP has not approved the costs of the <br /> ' project and is requesting additional site characterization work GTI prepared our November <br /> 30, 2005 "Additional Site Characterization Work Plan" that includes provisions for installing <br /> ' two additional groundwater monitoring wells and a single soil boring The San Joaquin <br /> County Environmental Health Department has approved the work plan in their December 12, <br /> 2005 letter The proposed work is in the process of being implemented <br /> 1 <br />
