Main St.
Manteca, CA
Project No 662 2
December 2, 2005
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
This report summarizes the 31-d Quarter 2005 groundwater monitoring event that took place
on August 25, 2005 The laboratory analyses reveal that low to moderate concentrations of
' the oxygenated fuel compound MTBE was detected in five of the seven wells sampled This
is consistent with the historical data Gasoline constituents TPH-G were detected in three of
the groundwater monitoring wells
' In accordance with San Joaquin County directives, the three new monitoring wells were also
tested for diesel, methanol, ethanol, ETBE, DlPE, TAME, TBA, 1,2-DCA, EBD and lead
None of the wells contained these constituents above the laboratory reporting limits
The average elevation of groundwater at the site was approximately 13 94 feet mean sea
level, or approximately 25 feet below grade Groundwater gradient calculations show that
groundwater flow was N5 VE with a slope of 0 018 ft/ft The predominant groundwater
direction has been to the east-northeast during the investigation
In our March 25, 2005 work plan GTI proposed interim soil and groundwater remediation
The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Division (SJC/EHD) approved the work plan,
' however the USTCFP has not approved the costs of the project and is requesting additional
site characterization work Subsequent to a meeting with SJCEHD on November 23, 2005, a
plan has been prepared for further investigation and is submitted separately from this report
1
