Main St.
Manteca, CA
Project No 662 2
' February 15, 2005
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
' This report summarizes the 4"'Quarter 2004 groundwater monitoring event that took place on
November 26, 2004 The laboratory analyses reveal that low to moderate concentrations of
' the oxygenated fuel compound MTBE was detected in three of the four wells sampled This
is consistent with the historical data Gasoline constituents TPH-G and BTEX were not
detected in any of the groundwater samples
In accordance with San Joaquin County directives, the groundwater samples were also
analyzed for diesel, methanol, ethanol, ETBE, DIPE, TAME, TBA, 1,2-DCA, EBD and lead
' None of the wells contained these constituents above the laboratory reporting limits
The average elevation of groundwater at the site was 12 32 feet mean sea level, or
' approximately 27 feet below grade Groundwater gradient calculations show that
groundwater flow was N28°E with a slope of 0 001 ft/ft The predominant groundwater
direction has been to the east-northeast during the investigation
' In our Apnl 19, 2004 work plan GTI proposed additional groundwater plume definition and a
pilot test for dual phase extraction/aquifer pumping The SJC/EHD approved the work plan
in their May 21, 2004 facsimile correspondence The first phase of the work was completed
on October 26 - 27, 2004 with the installation of one extraction well and two monitoring
