California <br /> Dear Margaret: <br /> As you know, we represent 650 Management Corp. with <br /> respect to its property interest located at 224 North Main, Lodi, <br /> California ("Property") . We have reviewed Diane Hinson's letter <br /> to Ann Arney dated February 28, 1994, and agree to sample a soil <br /> boring through the former tank location at 15, 20, 25, 30, and 35 <br /> feet below grade, for BTEX, TPH, and Total Lead pursuant to the <br /> attached proposal. In addition, we agree to collect two more <br /> samples from each of the on-site monitoring wells, and test for <br /> TPHg, BTEX, and Total Lead pursuant to the attached proposal. <br /> The second samples will be collected thirty days after collection <br /> of the first samples. <br /> As we discussed in our telephone conversation on March <br /> 2, 1993 , we are anxious to achieve closure at the Property. We <br /> strongly believe there are no contaminants on the Property or in <br /> the groundwater at actionable levels. Second, we have been <br /> approached by a longtime resident of Lodi who is seriously <br /> interested in purchasing the Property. Finally, it appears that <br /> at this point in time, our expenses at the Property will not be <br /> reimbursed by the California Underground Storage Tank Fund. <br /> For these reasons, we would like an understanding that <br /> if testing indicates that the amount of contaminants in the <br />
