This proposal was prepared pursuant to our January 24 , 1994 conference call between . <br /> yourself, Mr. Rob Gwilym of Steffen, Robertson and Kirsten, Ms. Ann Amey of biainond <br /> Lumber Inc, and myself. At your request and prior to the conference call, Park reviewed the <br /> site assessment reports and the agency correspondence for this site. <br /> F <br /> Project Understanding t <br /> One 500 gallon gasoline tank was removed from the subject site on February 14, 1985. There <br /> was a reported,'1 1/2 in. by 1/4 in. hole in the tank bottom leaking gasoline at the time of tank <br /> removal. The tank pit was over excavated to about 13 feet, but gasoline was still reported to be <br /> present at the bottom of the excavation. This was documented in a 2/14/85 San Joaquin County <br /> Inspection Report. There is no indication that soil samples from the tank bottomwere collected <br /> for analysis after the tank removal, nor has a closure report been located. <br /> A twenty-one foot soil boring (B1) was drilled adjacent to the former tank excavatiomon 2/19/85.1 <br /> A fifteen foot sample was analyzed for benzene, toluene and xylene(BTX), and the remaining <br /> peaks quantitated against the benzene standard.
