In adcliticn, a water sample from the
on-sits: supply wall was also sampled. water samples from these
two wells were submitted to Canonie Laboratory for BTX and
gasoline analyses.
The analytical results showed non-detectable levels of
gasoline or BTX at a detection limit of 20 ug/l (ppb) . Also, no
odors were detected in either water sample . Copies of these
results were transmuted directly to you by Canonie Labbratory on
April 9 and 25, 1985 .
1 ' SUMMARY
The investigative results indicate that shallow soil '
excavations removed most of the gasoline contaminated soils and
that any remaining residues should not pose environmental or
public health risks. In addition, it is our understanding that
f : the local public well has been shut down due to DBCP
contamination, alleviating further concerns.
J. H. Kleinfelder & Associates respectfully requests your.
{ concurrence with the investigative conclusions to close out this
# project. The temporary well located at Diamond Lumber will be
properly abandoned as we discussed upon Diamond Lumber 's receipt
of your written concurrence.
If there are any further questions please feel free to call me
or Ron Heinzen in Stockton at 209-948--3345.
Sincerely,
j.
