The Phase
II investigation included the installation of three groundwater monitoring wells to evaluate subsurface soil
and groundwater conditions near the former location of two USTs which were removed in 1985. Analytical
soil samples were collected during the installation of each monitoring well (SRK-MWI, SRK-MW2 and
' SRK-MW3) at depths of 30 feet (seasonal high groundwater level), and 50 feet (capillary fringe). The
constituents of Volatile Hydrocarbons, BTEX, and Lead were not detected in any of the soil samples.
1 6A REGULATORY COMPLIANCE
Ms. Margaret Lagorio, Senior REHS with the San Joaquin County PHS/EHD was on-site during the
sampling of monitoring wells SRK-MW 1 and SRK-MW2. Ms.Lagorio left the site before monitoring well
SRK-MW3 was sampled. Monitoring wells SRK-MW I, SRK-MW2, and SRK-MW3 were sampled in
accordance with San Joaquin County PHS/EHD guidelines. Laboratory samples were sent via over-night
courier to a California Certified Laboratory. A copy of the chain-of-custody is provided with the laboratory
data in Appendix C.
I7.0 SUMMARY OF FINDINGS
Monitoring wells SRK-MWI, SRK-MW2 and SRK-MW3 have been sampled during each quarterly
sampling event (November 1991, April 1992, August 1992, February 1993, June 1993, and November
1993). Analytical results from the November 1993 sampling event indicate that organic components of
gasoline are absent from the site and that remnant lead concentrations appear to fluctuate which may be the
325a.M642Uiytad Steffen Robertson and Kirsten
