STEFFEN ROBERTSON AND KIRSTEN
January 27, 1993
Mr. Frank Biehler
' City of Lodi
Public Works Department
1331 South Ham Lane
' Lodi, California 95242
Re: Disposal of One 55-gallon Drum of Water Resulting from Groundwater Monitoring
Diamond Lumber facility, Lodi, California
Dear Mr. Biehler:
Pursuant to our phone conversation on January 26, 1993, regarding disposal of the above referenced
material into the City of Lodi sewer system, Steffen Robertson and Kirsten (U.S.) Inc., (SRK) is
providing your department with the following information. SRK has been retained by the 650
Management Corporation (current management of Diamond Lumber, Inc.) to perform the quarterly
groundwater monitoring of three monitoring wells installed by SRK at the above referenced facility.
The three groundwater monitoring wells were installed by SRK in November, 1991, under the direct
guidance of Ms. Margaret Lagorio, Senior RENS, San Joaquin County Public Health
Services/Environmental Health Division (PHS/EHD). One 55-gallon drum of water has been
generated from groundwater monitoring activities at the site.
' The following table includes all of the available data for the monitoring wells installed by SRK in 1991.
The analytical parameters include volatile hydrocarbons (by EPA 8015M, GC/FID Purge & Trap),
benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylene (BT-EX) (Aromatics by EPA 60218020, GC/PID Purge &
Trap); and total lead (EPA Method 239.2 GFAA). Low levels of toluene were only detected during
the November 1991 sampling event at concentrations of 0.82 ppb and 0.63 ppb, while concentrations
of lead range from 12 ppb to 260 ppb. The drum contains well purge waters from all the monitoring
events listed below.
Analytical Groundwater Data
1
: ...........
