(Thorpe) uncovered and removed one <br /> 350 gallon capacity carbon steel underground storage tank (tank ID #39-1977- <br /> 01). Tank removal soil samples were collected by GeoAnalytical personnel <br /> from beneath the tank (TK-1 Q 8') and from the north side wall Q 7.5'. <br /> The tank was purged and triple rinsed of all remaining petroleum product <br /> which was containerized, manifested (Manifest #88112969-EPA site <br /> #CAC000836312), and properly disposed of at Refineries Service in Patterson, <br /> California. The inerted tank was transported to and received on March 20, <br /> 1993 by Schnitzer Steel Products of Rancho Cordova, California. <br /> The two soil samples were received by GeoAnalytical Laboratories of <br /> Modesto. and tested for benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, total xylenes, total <br /> petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline, total lead and ethylene dibromide. <br /> Sample results indicated that significant concentrations of gasoline range <br /> petroleum hydrocarbons were detected in the north side wall sample collected <br /> at 7.5 feet below ground surface. These sample data were submitted to the San <br /> Joaquin County Public Health Services (SJCPHS). <br />
