All soil samples analyzed from the soil boring located in the vicinity of the pump islands (AS-1) were impacted with MTBE. TPHG and BTEX and other oxygenates were not detected with the exception of the sample collected at 36 feet bgs, which contained benzene at 9.1 micrograms per kilogram. Copies of certified analytical reports and chain of custody documentation are presented in Appendix F. Groundwater samples collected from monitoring wells MW-9 and MW-10 did not have detectable concentrations of TPHG, BTEX, or oxygenates. Summary of the analytical results of groundwater samples are presented in Table 2. Appendix F contains the certified analytical reports and chain-of-custody documentation. SUMMARY The following summarizes the results of the soil and groundwater investigation. • Residual petroleum hydrocarbons, including oxygenates, were not detected in soil samples collected from the two borings west and southwest of the site. • Groundwater samples analyzed from monitoring wells, MW-9 and MW-10, did not have detectable concentrations of TPHG, BTEX, or oxygenates. • Soil samples collected and analyzed from the boring in the vicinity of the pump islands are impacted with MTBE. The analytical results of soil and groundwater samples indicate that the lateral definition of the petroleum hydrocarbon impact to groundwater is defined to the southwest and west of the subject property. Stratus is scheduled to construct and install a soil vapor extraction and abatement system to mitigate the petroleum hydrocarbon impact to soil and groundwater in the vicinity of the underground storage tanks.
