Lodi Avenue!'
Lodi, Ca .
San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health
Division (PHS/EHD) has completed the review of the last quarterly
report dated June 6, 1994, submitted by WEGE, and has the
following comments for your consideration.
This latest quarterly report is dated June 6, 1994 and reports
the results of groundwater samples obtained on April 13, 1994.
The quarterly report previous to this one was dated September. 2,
1993 and it reported groundwater sample results obtained on July
7 , 1993 . It appears the data being collected from this site is
somewhat off a quarterly time schedule program. This lack of
consistent data is inadequate to evaluate to determine future
assessment or remediation needs. Therefore, please revise the C
site visits for this site so that data can be collected on a
regular quarterly basis and reported in a more efficient manner.
Based on the data gathered to date, and particularly from the
additional data gathered from monitoring well MW#8, the need for
a Corrective Action Plan for this site is apparent and warranted.
Section 2725, Article 11 Chapter 16, Title 23 of the California
Code of Regulations (Corrective Action Regulations) requires a
responsible party to assess the nature and vertical and lateral
extent of a release. Once this has been completed, the
responsible party is required to assess the impact of the release
to the waters of the State and to conduct feasibility studies to
determine a cost-effective method of cleanup. The cleanup method
must be sufficient to remediate the release to standards
determined by the State. ;; A copy of the Corrective Action
Regulations (Article 11) :;has been enclosed for your information.
Cleanup standards have been established by the State and can be
referenced in the California State Water Resources Control Board
Resolution #68-16 (Statement of Policy with Respect to
A N%isioa of San ,10ayuin Cnunly Health Care Services
