3.0 <br /> INVESTIGATION RESULTS <br /> 3.1 SITE GEOLOGY <br /> The soils beneath the Subject Property are classified by the U.S. Department of <br /> Agriculture, Soil Conservation Service as Delhi loamy sand. Soils encountered during <br /> field activities were primarily brown, or light brown, sand or silty sand. A detailed <br /> L description of the soils encountered in each boring is contained in the soil boring logs in <br /> Appendix A. <br /> L <br /> Groundwater was not encountered during drilling activities. <br /> L <br /> 3.2 ANALYTICAL RESULTS <br /> 3.2.1 FIELD OBSERVATIONS <br /> Evidence of hydrocarbon staining was observed ed m the following borings during field <br /> _ activities: <br /> • IL-7 - slight reddish staining at 11 to 13 feet bgs <br /> g <br /> • IL-4 - dark staining at 4 feet bgs <br /> • SB-1 dark staining at 2-3 feet bgs <br /> L3.2.2 LABORATORY ANALYSIS <br /> LTable 1 presents the soil analytical results for the samples analyzed from the former <br /> inground hoist locations (IL-1 through IL-9) and the inactive septic tank (SB-1 and SB- <br /> L2).
