(NWE) was retained by Fry Properties, Incorporated <br /> INDUSTRIAL (client) to perform an assessment of subsurface soil and groundwater quality at <br /> HYGIENE <br /> selected location(s) at 735 North Main Street in Manteca, California (subject <br /> Property) (Figures 1 and 2). The scope of services is described in NWE's <br /> proposal E050-9806-31, dated June 19, 1998, and approved on June 30, 1998. <br /> The scope of services consisted of limited soil and groundwater sampling and <br /> CONSTRUCTION analysis intended to assess the presence or absence of total petroleum <br /> MANAGEMENT hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHg), total petroleum hydrocarbons as motor oil <br /> (TPHm), benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylene (BTEX), methyl tertiary <br /> butyl ether (MTBE), and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in soil and <br /> groundwater at the subject Property. <br /> LABORATORY <br /> SERVICES The work was performed on July 16, 1998. NWE's work scope proposed <br /> advancing three soil borings via direct push methods to groundwater at the site, <br /> and collection of soil and groundwater samples from each boring. The soil <br /> sampling locations are shown on Figure 2. Soil and groundwater samples were <br /> MAINTENANCE collected from each soil boring, and were submitted for analysis to a certified <br /> ENGINEERING analytical laboratory. Field work at the site was conducted in accordance with a <br /> Site Safety Plan, and in conformance with applicable requirements of the <br /> California Environmental Protection Agency (Cal-EPA) and federal and state <br /> Occupational Safety and Health Administrations (OSHA and Cal-OSHA). <br /> ASBESTOS <br /> SERVICES PROJECT BACKGROUND <br /> The subject Property consists of an approximate 0.5 acre parcel of land occupied <br /> by an approximate 8,000 square foot commercial structure, located at 735 North <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL Main Street in Manteca, California. The structure on the subject Property is <br /> TRAINING <br /> currently occupied by several commercial tenants.
