V
I
CHRONOLOGY
25411 LONE TREE ROAD, ESCALON
12/08/86 Site evaluation made. PHS/EHD report notes the following UST's:
1-7000 gallon Regular gas UST, 1-2000 gallon Unleaded gas UST,
1-2000 gallon Diesel UST, 1-1000 gallon Unleaded gas UST.
09/08/87 Four UST's removed: 1-7000 gallon Regular gas UST, 2-3000
gallon Unleaded UST's, 1-1000 gallon Unleaded UST which was
identified as a 2000 gallon Diesel UST at the time of the site
evaluation on 12/08/86 (soil beneath this UST was not analyzed for
Diesel). The 1000 gallon tank reportedly had a small hole under
the fill pipe. Only one soil sample was taken from the area of the
two 3000 gallon Unleaded UST's. PHS/EHD staff noted odor to the
soil in the area of the 3000 gallon UST's. The soil sample results
from the area of the 3000 gallon UST's confirmed BTX and TPH-
gas contamination. The other sample results were non detect.
11/22/96 The site was placed in the Local Oversight Program.
06/30/98 Five soil borings were drilled and soil samples were collected. ;
SBI, SB2, SB3 were in the area of the 3000 gallon UST's where
soil sample results evidenced contamination at the time of the UST
removals. Low levels of contamination were found at 15 and 20
feet below grade. All results were non detect at 25 feet below
grade. SB 4 was in the area of the dispensers and the soil sample
result was non detect. SB5 was in the area of the former UST
which was reportedly Diesel and then Unleaded gas. The sample
from this boring was analyzed for TPH diesel only and was non
detect.
09/01/98 PHS/EHD reviewed the "Summary Report" dated 8/25/98 and
agreed with closure of the site.
