Lone Tree Road
Escalon, California 95320
RE:' Environid6ntal Assessment df property at 25411 E. Lone Tree Road, Escalon
We have contacted the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department to discuss
an initial scope of work for this site. We were told that Mary Maize was the inspector for
this site. However, her supervisor, Margaret Lnorio, eventually returned the call and
informed us that she has been working with the property owner. She agreed that soil
borings, without the installation of monitoring wells, would be appropriate for this part of
San Joaquin County. Groundwater could be as deep as 100 feet from the surface.
After reviewing the tank removal data we recommend drilling three soil borings in the
vicinity of the tanks. The borings will be drilled to a depth of sixty feet with laboratory
samples every 10 feet.
The scope of work discussed below briefly describes the services that M.J. Kloberdanz&
Associates proposes- The scope of work involves:
Task 1. Planning
M.J. Kloberdanz& Associates will prepare both a Health and Safety Plan and a
Project Work Plan to be submitted to the local regulatory agency, San Joaquin
County Environmental Health Department (EHD), for approval_ The plan will
include a description of the methods for installation of soil borings and
groundwater sampling. All work will be supervised by the registered
engineering geologist-
M.J. Kloberdanz & Associates will prepare the necessary permit applications
for the soil borings and groundwater sampling. A boring permit fee of$89.00
must accompany the work plan and permit applications and will be the
responsibility of the client. You can forward a check to us, made to San
Joaquin County EHD, or we can mail the material to you to be submitted to
EHD with the payment.
