Preliminary Site Assessment Work Plan <br /> Conti Trucking <br /> 2660 Loomis Road, Stockton, California <br /> 1.0. INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Mr. Gene Conti Jr. of Conti Trucking, Inc., Advanced Geo Environmental, Inc. <br /> (AGE) has prepared the enclosed Preliminary Site Assessment Work Plan for the property at 2660 <br /> Loomis Road, Stockton, California (the site). The location of the site is illustrated on Figure 1. A <br /> plan of the site is illustrated on Figure 2. <br /> This wort: plan is prepared as required by the San Joaquin County Public Health Services - <br /> Envirom-lental Health Division(PHS-EHD) for the investigation of unauthorized releases associated <br /> with underground storage tanks (USTs) and in accordance with Appendix A to Tri-Regional <br /> Recommendations - Reporting, dated 30 August 1991, prepared by the Central Valley Regional <br /> Water Quality Control Board (Appendix A - Reports). <br /> The purpose of this site assessment is to evaluate the lateral and vertical extent of petroleum <br /> hydrocarbon impact to soil and/or groundwater at the site. This work plan provides a description of <br /> the scope of work and procedures to be used in soil probe borings, soil and groundwater sample <br /> collection and analysis and soil boring abandonment. <br /> 2.0. BACKGROUND <br /> The site is located in an unincorporated commercial area of southern Stockton, California, at the end <br /> of Loomis Road. (Figure 1). The site is presently occupied by Conti Trucking, Inc. <br /> 2.1. SITE DESCRIPTION <br /> The majority of the site consists of unpaved dirt area used as a parking lot for trucks (Figure 2). A <br /> single story office facility and truck garage is presently located on the site. A domestic drinking <br /> water well is located approximately 150 feet northeast of the former UST area. <br /> 2.2. UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK REMOVAL <br /> On 22 September 1999, two 10,000-gallon diesel USTs, were removed from the site by Elite Four, <br /> General Contractors. The approximate locations of the former USTs are shown on Figure 2. <br /> The two 10,000-gallon diesel USTs were located at the west end of the site. The excavation was not <br /> backfilled to surface grade and it presently remains open. <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc. <br />
