` Quarterly Report - Third Quarter 2000 National Freight 2850 Loomis Road, Stockton, California 1.0. INTRODUCTION In accordance with the request of Mr. Daniel Folcher of Vineland Construction Co., Advanced Geo Environmental, Inc. (AGE)has prepared this report for 2850 Loomis Road(the site), Stockton, California. The scope of work included installation of three single-completed ground water monitoring wells and conducting one ground water monitoring event on the site. This report ' documents collection and analysis of soil and ground water samples and the results of a ground water monitoring event. The location of the site and its surroundings are illustrated on Figure 1; major features on the site and soil probe boring locations are illustrated an Figure 2. This investigation was performed in accordance with the guidelines of the San Joaquin County _ Public Health Services - Environmental Health Division. (PHS-EHD) and of the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board for the investigation of underground storage tank(UST)sites. 2.0. BACKGROUND In September 1998,two USTs and associated fuel dispensers and product piping were removed frorn the site. Based on field observations and analytical results of soil samples collected during the tank removals, the PHS-EHD directed by letter dated 21 .lune 1999 that a subsurface investigation be performed at the site to delineate the vertical and horizontal extent of petroleum hydrocarbon-impact. In accordance with PHS-EHD directives, procedures for a subsurface investigation were outlined in the Site Investigation Work Plan, dated 05 August 1999 and approved by the PHS-EHD by letter on 18 August 1999. 2.L SITE LOCATION AND DESCRIPTION _ The site is located in a topographically flat area of Stockton, California (Figure 1), approximately 1,400 feet west of the intersection of Loomis Road and California Highway 99 Frontage Road. The site is located in the northeast quarter of Section 47, Township 1 North, Range 7 East, Mount Diablo Base and Meridian(Stockton East Quadrangle, 7,5-Minute USGS Topographic Series, 1968,photo revised 1987). _ The site is presently utilized as a truck depot for freight transportation. The site consists of a storage yard and a large building structure utilized for office space. Two 12,000-gallon diesel USTs and one 1,000-gallon waste oil UST were formerly located on the property.
