` Quarterly Report - Third Quarter 2000 <br /> National Freight <br /> 2850 Loomis Road, Stockton, California <br /> 1.0. INTRODUCTION <br /> In accordance with the request of Mr. Daniel Folcher of Vineland Construction Co., Advanced <br /> Geo Environmental, Inc. (AGE)has prepared this report for 2850 Loomis Road(the site), Stockton, <br /> California. The scope of work included installation of three single-completed ground water <br /> monitoring wells and conducting one ground water monitoring event on the site. This report <br /> ' documents collection and analysis of soil and ground water samples and the results of a ground water <br /> monitoring event. The location of the site and its surroundings are illustrated on Figure 1; major <br /> features on the site and soil probe boring locations are illustrated an Figure 2. <br /> This investigation was performed in accordance with the guidelines of the San Joaquin County <br /> _ Public Health Services - Environmental Health Division. (PHS-EHD) and of the Central Valley <br /> Regional Water Quality Control Board for the investigation of underground storage tank(UST)sites. <br /> 2.0. BACKGROUND <br /> In September 1998,two USTs and associated fuel dispensers and product piping were removed frorn <br /> the site. Based on field observations and analytical results of soil samples collected during the tank <br /> removals, the PHS-EHD directed by letter dated 21 .lune 1999 that a subsurface investigation be <br /> performed at the site to delineate the vertical and horizontal extent of petroleum hydrocarbon-impact. <br /> In accordance with PHS-EHD directives, procedures for a subsurface investigation were outlined <br /> in the Site Investigation Work Plan, dated 05 August 1999 and approved by the PHS-EHD by letter <br /> on 18 August 1999. <br /> 2.L SITE LOCATION AND DESCRIPTION <br /> _ The site is located in a topographically flat area of Stockton, California (Figure 1), approximately <br /> 1,400 feet west of the intersection of Loomis Road and California Highway 99 Frontage Road. The <br /> site is located in the northeast quarter of Section 47, Township 1 North, Range 7 East, Mount Diablo <br /> Base and Meridian(Stockton East Quadrangle, 7,5-Minute USGS Topographic Series, 1968,photo <br /> revised 1987). <br /> _ The site is presently utilized as a truck depot for freight transportation. The site consists of a storage <br /> yard and a large building structure utilized for office space. Two 12,000-gallon diesel USTs and one <br /> 1,000-gallon waste oil UST were formerly located on the property. <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc. <br />
