Cherokee Rd.. #D Program: Fiw <br /> SUMMARY OF VIOLATIONS <br /> CLASS I,CLASS II,or MINOR-Notice to Comply) <br /> This is a report of the Routine Hazardous Waste (HW) inspection conducted at the referenced facility by <br /> San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD). The facility is a small quantity generator <br /> generating less than 5 tons of HW per year. The following Item #52 is a Repeat Violation, and Item #7 <br /> and 22 are Minor Violations - Notice to Comply: <br /> 7. Observed white solid waste in drip basin for where 7 leaky damaged lead acid batteries sits. <br /> -- Generator shall make HW determination of the waste and managing the waste accordingly. <br /> * Immediately make a HW determination of the above waste and manage it accordingly, or dispose it <br /> as HW in accordance to California Code of Regulations (CCR) Title 22. If the waste is determined to be <br /> a non-HW, you are required to submit evidence (i.e. third party laboratory testing results) supporting <br /> such a determination to EHD. If the waste is to be dispose as HW. submit a copy of the disposal receipt <br /> to EHD. <br /> 22. Observed at least 7 damaged spent lead acid batteries not stored in a closed container. <br /> -- A damaged battery shall be managed to minimize the release of acid and lead to the environment, at <br /> minimum by: stored and transported in a nonreactive, structurally secure, closed container capable of <br /> preventing the release of acid and lead, (b) container be legibly labeled in weather-resistant ink or paint <br /> with the date the first battery in the container was placed in, and (c) the container be packed for <br /> transportation in a manner that will prevent tipping, breaking, or spilling. <br /> * Immediately place the above and all future damaged lead acid batteries in a closed container as <br /> above. <br /> 52. (Repeat) No emergency coordinator information and a modified contingency plan posted. <br /> -- Facilities are required to post he emergency coordinator name and telephone number, and the <br /> modified contingency plan at all times. <br /> * Immediately post the emergency coordinator information and a modified contingency plan by a <br /> telephone. A blank copy of the emergency coordinator and modified contingency plan form has been <br /> supplied to the generator and posted during this inspection. This violation has been corrected on site. <br /> NOTES <br /> >ubmit the following to EHD by.
