ll ,,
i
I ;
Ms. Margaret Lagorio
San Joaquin County Public Health Services
Environmental Health Division
June 1, 1994
Page 2
originated from the Hydropunchm screens and does not indicate groundwater contamination by this
compound at the Site.
Soil samples taken from a depth of approximately 5 feet below the ground surface at locations
B1 and B5 were analyzed for volatile organic compounds using EPA Method 8240. No volatile
organic compounds were detected in these samples. Copies of analytical reports and chain-of-custody
records for these samples are attached.
Based on our May 23, 1994 telephone conversation with you regarding the above results, we
understand that the San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health Division, will
not take action regarding the detected motor oil, because it does not appear to be related to a known
underground storage tank. Further,,we understand that because the groundwater sample was obtained
using the Hydropunch® method, the analytical results are considered by the county to be
"unconfirmed and may not be reported or listed as a contamination incident.
Please contact me if you have any questions or require further information.
Sincerely yours,
McCULLEY, FRICK & GILMAN, INC.
Michael Tietze, C.E.G., R.E.A.
Senior Hydrogeologist
Attachments
S)CEHD.RPT/mt
