fir+ <br /> Mr. Ron Rowe <br /> July 25, 1996 CAMBRIA <br /> Gasoline Tank Excavation Sampling: Cambria collected six samples beneath the ends of the former <br /> gasoline tanks by driving a clean brass tube into soil collected by the backhoe. Sample locations are shown <br /> on Figure 1 and analytic results are summarized on Table 1. Standard sampling procedures are presented <br /> in Attachment A and analytic reports are included as Attachment B. <br /> Product Piping Sampling: Cambria collected fourteen soil samples from seven locations beneath the <br /> former product piping and dispensers. Sample locations are shown on Figure 1 and analytic results are <br /> summarized on Table 1. <br /> Over-Excavation and Sampling: The area immediately southeast of the southeast dispenser island was the <br /> only area that contained elevated hydrocarbon concentrations. This area was excavated and sampled to a <br /> depth of 18 ft which was the limit of the backhoe. Sample locations are shown onFigure ure 1 and analytic <br /> P � P .. g Yt <br /> results are summarized on Table 1. <br /> Sample Analyses: Sequoia Analytical of Walnut Creek;California analyzed the samples for total petroleum <br /> hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHg), benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylenes (BTEX), total lead, and <br /> methyl-tert-butyl-ether(MTBE)as required by Mr. McClullen and Mr. Rowe. <br /> Soil Lithology: The site is underlain by sandy silt, silty sand, and clayey silt of moderate estimated <br /> permeability to the total depth explored of 18 ft. <br /> Waste DisposaURecycling: Crosby&Overton of Oakland,California arranged for the disposal of the tank <br /> rinsate at Romic Environmental of East Palo Alto,California. The USTs were recycled at Erickson, Inc. of <br /> Richmond, California. Manley and Sons Trucking of Sacramento, California loaded and transported the <br /> excavated soil to Forward Landfill in Stockton; California. Liquid and UST manifests are included as <br /> Attachment C. Disposal confirmation forms from Forward Landfill,Manley and Sons Trucking,and Sharon <br /> Blanton of Shell Oil Products Com'pany.,are included as Attachment D. <br /> i <br /> Backfilling: K.E.
