Please note that the number of confirmation borings should be chosen
to provide sufficient data to demonstrate a reduction of MTBE mass, assess the
risk MTBE currently poses to human health and to groundwater, and model
future reduction of the vadose zone MTBE mass to background conditions. (If
MTBE is found to be absent or present in minimal concentrations, the latter
points become moot.)
EHD does not have the report that discusses the installation of monitoring wells MW-4A,
MW-413, MW-5A, MW-5B, MW-6A, MW-6B, nor the laboratory analytical data for
groundwater samples collected at CPT-12 and CPT-15. Please resubmit the report that
documents the installation of these wells and includes the boring logs, and also resubmit
the laboratory groundwater analytical results for CPT-12 and CPT-15.
If you have any questions please contact Vicki McCartney at (209) 468-3456,or by
electronic mail at vmccartney@sjcehd.com.
Donna Heran, REHS, Director
Environmental Health Department wi
Victoria L.
