CAMBRIA
Groundwater Remediation System Operation Cambria installed a GWE system at this site
which began operation in March 2000 and was shut down in July 2001 Hydrocarbon and MTBE
concentrations have been substantially reduced in groundwater beneath the site The GWE
system extracted groundwater from well EW-1 at approximately five gallons per minute An
estimate of contaminant mass removed by the GWE system is summarized in the following table
MASS REMOVAL BY GROUNDWATER EXTRACTION
Constituent Total Removed
Total Hydrocarbons 18 pounds
MTBE 15 2 pounds
Water 2,295,500 gallons
ANTICIPATED SECOND QUARTER 2004 ACTIVITIES
. Blaine will gauge and sample the site wells according to the existing sampling schedule and
tabulate the data Cambria will prepare a groundwater monitoring report Groundwater samples
will be collected monthly from well MW-6A and these data will be reported via facsimile as we
receive them from the lab
We received the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department letter dated
February 11, 2004 requesting that groundwater samples be analyzed on an annual basis for the
seven fuel oxygenates and for lead scavengers We arranged for this additional analysis to occur
during the second quarter 2004 sampling event
CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
Groundwater analytical data from all of the wells at this site continue to show a declining or
stable trend
i
0324 2
