(Cambria) is submitting this groundwater monitoring <br /> report on behalf of Equilon Enterprises LLC dba Shell Oil Products US (Shell) in accordance <br /> with the quarterly reporting requirements of 23 CCR 2652d. <br /> FIRST QUARTER 2003 ACTIVITIES <br /> Groundwater Monitoring: Blaine Tech Services, Inc. (Blaine) of San Jose, California gauged <br /> and sampled all wells, and prepared a summary table of field gauging data and petroleum <br /> hydrocarbon and methyl tertiary butyl ether (MTBE) concentrations. Cambria prepared an area <br /> well survey map (Figure 1) and two groundwater elevation contour maps (Figures 2 and 3). <br /> Blaine's report, presenting the first quarter 2003 laboratory report, supporting field notes, and the <br /> fourth quarter 2002 monthly sampling results for well MW-6A,is included as Appendix A. <br /> GROUNDWATER REMEDIATION <br /> Interim Groundwater Remediation: Blaine began weekly purging of onsite monitoring well <br /> MW-1 on November 10, 1998 and onsite extraction well EW-1 on March 11, 1999. This practice <br /> Oakland, CA continued until the groundwater extraction (GWE)system was started during March 2000. <br /> San Ramon, CA <br /> Sonoma, CA <br /> Groundwater Remediation System Operation: Cambria installed a GWE system at this site <br /> Cambria which began operation in March 2000 and was shut down in July 2001. Hydrocarbon and MTBE <br /> Environmental concentrations have been substantially reduced in weiis at [he site. The GWE sysieiil eAi1uuLr'd <br /> Technology,inc. groundwater from well EW-1 at approximately five gallons per minute.
