Well Materials Well MW-1 was constructed using two-inch diameter, schedule 40 PVC well <br /> casing and 0 010-mch slotted well screen (Attachment B) <br /> Screened Interval Well MW-1 was screened from 13 5 to 33 5 ft below grade (Attachment B) <br /> Well Development The monitoring well will be developed, purged, and sampled by Blame Tech <br /> Services, Inc (Blaine) of San Jose, California during April 1998 The <br /> SJCPHS will be given 48-hour notice before the well is developed <br /> Soil Chemical Analyses Based on Cambna's work plan and field observations, soil samples from the <br /> following depths were selected for chemical analysis 5 5'-6 5', 20'-21 5', <br /> 23 5'-24 5', 27 5'-29', and 33 5'-35' The soil samples were analyzed for <br /> • Total Purgable Petioleum Hydrocaibons (TPPH) by modified EPA <br /> Method 8015, <br /> • Benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and xylenes (BTEX) by EPA <br /> Method 8020, <br /> • Methyl tort-Butyl Ethel (MTBE), Tertiary Amyl Methyl Ether <br /> (TAME), di-Isopropyl Ether(DIPS), Ethyl tent-Butyl hthey(ETBE), <br /> tort-Butanol, and ethanol using EPA Method 8260, and, <br /> • Methanol by modified EPA Method 8015 <br /> Soil Physical Analyses Based on Cambria's work plan and field observations, soil Samples from the <br /> following depths were selected for physical analysis 9 5'-11', 25'-26', and <br /> 32 5'-33 5' The soil samples were analyzed for permeability, poiosity, <br /> density, and organic carbon content <br /> Ground Water Analyses The grab ground water sample was analyzed for <br /> • TPPH by modified EPA Method 8015, <br /> • BTEX by EPA Method 8020, <br /> • MTBE, TAME, DIPS, ETBE, tert-Butanol, and ethanol using EPA <br /> Method 8260, and, <br /> • Methanol by modified EPA Method 8015 <br /> Soil Disposal Soil cuttings produced from the well installation were stockpiled and sampled <br /> for disposal Upon review of the analytical results, Shell will arrange for <br /> transportation of the stockpile to an approved disposal/recycling facility <br /> 0 <br /> 3 <br />
