TOCKTON,SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY The following information is needed in order for closure according to Appendix-B of the Tri Regional Recommendations; the distance to production wells within 2,000 feet of the site,boring logs, reason why background is unattainable, rationale for closure, WET or TCLP results. In September 1994, one 500 gallon gasoline tank and one 550 gallon diesel fuel tank were excavated from the site. Soil samples collected from 10 feet below ground surface(bgs)from each tank revealed 150 parts per million(ppm) diesel, 0.24 ppm benzene, 1.9 ppm toluene, 0.88 ppm ethyl benzene, and 4.6 ppm xylenes. In November 1994, the tank pit area was excavated to approximately 14 feet bgs. All other contamination was non-detect. In August 1995, the San Joaquin Public Health Services/Environmental Health Department warranted no further action at the site. The Regional Board has very limited information on this site. However, 4.3 lbs. of total petroleum hydrocarbons remain in the soil, between 10 and 15 feet, and contamination was never detected in ground water. HB
