PHS/EHD representatives Linda Turkatte, Mary Meays, and Steve
Sasson were present. The purpose of the meeting was to evaluate progress and to establish schedules for future
work at the above noted sites.
2500 Navy Drive/MUD
The necessity of locating all soil borings/monitoring wells and excavation samples on one map was
discussed. On tables summarizing analytical data for soil, the depth of samples and dates should be
indicated. The additional soil investigation necessary to define the extent of residual soil contamination
was also discussed. PHS/EHD requested that by November 15, 1995 a work plan be submitted to
complete the investigation so that the potential threat which the residual soil may pose to groundwater
can be evaluated. Finally PHS/EHD indicated that the construction of MW1 does not allow for the
collection of groundwater samples which represent the upper most aquifer as referenced in the previous
on site groundwater investigation. The COS indicated that the usefulness of this well will be evaluated.
1211 Swain Road/Fire Station #1
PHS/EHD stated that the movement of stockpiled soil requires documentation from Brian Goins, the
contractor responsible. Once documentation is provided PHS/EHD can issue site certification/closure.
4010 East Main/Fire Station #12
PHS/EHD stated that tank tracking and rinsate records are required so that PHS/EHD can issue site
certification/closure.
Argonne and Picardy/Victory Park
Recent groundwater sample analysis results have not been obtained. If the lack of contamination
continues to be evidenced, a closure report, evaluating the potential risk to groundwater which the
residual soil contamination may pose, will be submitted. PHS/EHD requested an opportunity to
comment on draft contents so that if additional information is required it will be provided in the closure
request.
A Division of San Joaquin County Health Care Services
