The purpose of this work was to evaluate <br /> the vertical extent of gasoline hydrocarbons in soil within the area where the highest i <br /> concentrations of gasoline hydrocarbons in soil were discovered during previous <br /> excavation activities. <br /> I <br /> This report includes a briefdiscussion ofsite background,previous investigations, <br /> F'^ scope of work,findings,and conclusions. Field and laboratory procedures are presented f <br /> r72 r C1,' p � � asAttachment A. f <br /> SITE BACKGROUND <br /> The site is located at the northeast comer of East Main Street and F Street in Stockton. <br /> California,situated in the northeastern portion of the San Joaquin Valley(Figure 1). It I <br /> is our understanding that the site is owned by the Hinaman Trust. The site is currently <br /> vacant. Formerly.Chevron Service Station 9-6258 operated at the site. The former <br /> facilities at the site included three gasoline underground storage tanks(USI's). <br /> associated underground piping and pump island,one waste oil tank,and u station <br /> building(Figure 2). The USTs were reportedly installed in 1955. The gasoline USTs <br /> \\rrc removed in 1976.
