March 24, 1997 <br /> Page 7 <br /> . • Preparation of a site health and safety plan for submittal to SJCEHD <br /> • Permitting, drilling, and sampling of one soil boring (Boring B-7) This boring will <br /> be drilled within the area where the highest concentrations of gasoline hydrocarbons <br /> in soil were discovered during the recent excavation activities Boring B-7 will be - <br /> located within the southeast portion of the footprint of the former UST pit (at the <br /> location of Samples T-1 and T-8) Boring B-7 will be terminated cZnce two <br /> consecutive"clean" samples(based on field observations and measurements) are <br /> collected, refusal occurs, or groundwater is encountered If groundwater is <br /> encountered a"grab" groundwater sample will be collected <br /> • Selected soil samples and groundwater samples will be submitted to a California <br /> State-certified laboratory and analyzed for the presence of total petroleum <br /> hydrocarbons calculated as gasoline(TPH-g), benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and <br /> xylenes (BTEX compounds), and lead <br /> • Preparation of a report summarizing the findings of the above tasks <br /> Field and laboratory procedures are presented as Attachment A <br /> SCHEDULE <br /> PACIFIC is prepared to initiate field work within 2 weeks following approval of this <br /> • work pian by the SJCEHD and the securing of permits A report documenting the <br /> Findings of the investigation is anticipated to be submitted approximately 10 to 12 <br /> weeks after the commencement of field work <br /> • <br /> ,)7ooi91 Ai,,n rPui i i)oc <br />
