(Cambria)is submitting this work plan on behalf of Shell Oil Products
Company (Shell) for hoist replacement sampling at the site referenced above. Also included is the
agreement with the property owner which allows Shell access to the property and the Master File
Record Information(MFRI)form. Our proposed scope of work for this sampling is described below.
SITE HISTORY
Site Description: The site is an active Shell service station located at the intersection of North Main
Street and Louise Avenue in Manteca, California. The site is located in a topographically flat,
commercial area,,
CAMBRIA
Previous Work: Cambria collected soil samples during tank and product line removal activities in
ENVIRONMENTAL August 1996. The highest concentration of hydrocarbons from the underground storage tank(UST)
complex was from the east end of tank 4 (1,300 ppm TPHg). This area was subsequently over-
TECHNOLOGY,INC. excavated to a depth of 25 feet, which was the maximum depth possible with the available excavation
1144 65TH STREET, equipment. Soil samples from the bottom of the over-excavation contained only 3.4 ppm TPHg. The
only TPHg detected in the soil near the dispensers was from the western dispenser of the eastern
SUITE B canopy, with a concentration of 1,200 ppm TPHg. The only TPHg detected in soil from beneath the
OAKLAND, product lines was located where the product lines entered the tank complex, at a concentration of
3.1 ppm TPHg.
CA 94608
PH:(510)420-0700
FAX:(510)420-9170
