CAMBRIA - Vir <br /> 35 April 27, 1998 <br /> Mr Ron Rowe <br /> San Joaquin County Department of Public Health Services <br /> Environmental Health Division <br /> 304 East Weber Avenue, 3"i Floor <br /> Stockton, California 95201-0388 <br /> Re Well Installation Report <br /> Shell Service Station <br /> 1071 North Main Street <br /> Manteca, California, <br /> WIC# 204-4728-0502 <br /> Cambria Protect# 240-0323-12 <br /> Dear Mr Rowe <br /> On behalf of Shell Oil Pioducts Company(Shell), Cambria Environmental Technology, Inc (Cambria) <br /> is submitting this report summaiizing the installation of three monitoiing wells at the site referenced <br /> above The installation of the wells was requested by the San Joaquin County Department of Public <br /> Health Services (SJCPHS) in a lute) received by Shell on June 16, 1997 The scope of work was <br /> outlined in Cambria', October 14, 1997 Investigation Work Plein Adclendiitn No 2 The objective was <br /> to determine the presence of hydrocarbons in soil and ground water beneath the site <br /> SITE SUMMARY <br /> Site Description The site is an active Shell service station located at the southwest corner of the <br /> intersection of North Main Street and Louise Avenue in Manteca, Califoi nla A site plan I, included as <br /> Figure I Adjacent properties are commercial <br /> CAMBRIA <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL Previous Investigation Cambria collected tank, dispenser, and product line removal samples in <br /> August 1996 In the underground storage tank excavation, the highest total petioleum hydrocarbon, as <br /> TECHNOLOGY,INC gasoline (TPHg) concentration was 1,300 milligrams per kilogram (mg/kg) in soil from a 13 tt depth <br /> beneath the east end of Tank 4 This area was subsequently over-excavated to a depth of 25 feet, which <br /> ll4465TK5rREET, was the maximum depth possible with the available equipment Soil samples from the bottom of the <br /> SUITE B over-excavation contained only 3 4 mg/kg TPHg The only TPHg detected from the dispensers was from <br /> the western dispenser of the eastern canopy, at 1,200 mg/kg TPHg The only TPHg detected from the <br /> OAKLAND, product lines was located where the product lines entered the tank complex, at 3 1 mg/kg TPHg These <br /> CA 94608 activities are detailed in Cambna's duly 16, 1997 Uncleigrotind Stotage Tank Removal and Soil <br /> Sampling Report <br /> &42R70G <br /> r <br /> FAX(510)42(}9170 <br />
