Geological
Technics Inc. (GTI) prepared a work plan dated October 25, 2001 to meet this directive. The
SJC PHS/EHD replied to GTI's work plan by requiring two additional shallow monitoring
wells. As stated in their November 16, 2001 facsimile correspondence, an addendum was
required acknowledging the installation ofthe two additional wells in the locations specified
by SJC PHS/EHD. Our November 30, 2001 "Work Plan Addendum—Soil and Groundwater
Investigation" included the two additional monitoring wells required by SJC PHS/EHD.
On behalf of John and Margaret Marci, Geological Technics Inc. has prepared the following
Cost Pre-Approval for additional site characterization work. The following supporting
documents are attached:
■ Work Plan & Addendum
■ Bids from V&W Drilling Inc.
■ Itemized spread sheet of costs for performing this work
■ San Joaquin County correspondence
Summary of Work Performed to Date
In March of 1987 two 5,000-gallon diesel USTs were removed from the site.
