Box 944212 <br /> Sacramento, CA 94244-2120 <br /> RE: Cost Pre-Approval for Soil and Purge Water Disposal <br /> Location: Marci Property, 2969 Loomis Road, Stockton, CA <br /> County Site Code: 2015; USTCFP Claim#007709 <br /> Dear Ms. Sanborn: <br /> In a letter from San Joaquin County, dated August 26, 1999, Ms. Carol Oz directed that <br /> additional monitoring wells be installed to define the vertical and lateral extent of soil and <br /> groundwater contamination located at the Marci Property, 2969 Loomis Road, Stockton, <br /> California. To accomplish this directive, Geological Technics Inc. (GTI) prepared a work plan <br /> dated March 21, 2000 with subsequent addenda regarding well placement and design issues. Ms. <br /> Oz approved the work plan on March 29, 2000 and wells MW-5, MW-6 and MW-105, were <br /> subsequently installed on August 21-22, 2000. <br /> At this time there are approximately twenty six (26) 55-gallon drums of soil (drill cuttings) and <br /> ten (10) 55-gallon drums of well purge/decors water present at the site. Previous consultants <br /> installed wells MW-1 through MW-4; which accounts for a large portion of the soils. stored on <br /> site. The work proposed here is just the coordination, supervision and. disposal of these drums of <br /> soil and water. <br /> Copies of the work plan and addendum's to. the Work Plan, SJC PHS/EHD correspondence, <br /> disposal bids and an itemized. budget spreadsheet of costs for performing this work is enclosed <br /> for your review. <br /> Proposed Bidding of Proiect <br /> To remain in compliance with the USTCFP, Geological Technics Inc. requested bids from Del- <br /> Tech and Norcal to dispose of the soil and water, respectively. The Del Tech bid is attached and <br /> Norcal responded via telephone with a price of$1.35/gallon. <br />
