AQP,. ?99?
STOCKTON CA 95205
RE: 2969 Loomis Road SITE CODE: 2015
Stockton, Ca
San Joaquin County Public Health Services,Environmental Health Division (PHS/EHD) has completed the
review of the Quarterly Report for the fourth quarter of 1992 and has the following comments.
The request to postpone the installation of additional monitoring wells pending the collection of additional
data through quarterly monitoring appears to be warranted at this time. However, in order to gain a better
understanding of the groundwater flow patterns specific to this site, groundwater gradient and flow direction
determinations should be conducted more frequently, at least on a monthly basis.
The additional information obtained from the monthly gradient determinations and the quarterly sampling of
monitoring well #1 will be evaluated to determine any further assessment required for this site. Please be
advised that additional soil borings/monitoring wells will be requested by PHS/EHD should the data indicate
it necessary. Groundwater sampling results indicating contamination will require a monitoring well in each
downgradient direction identified for this site.
PHS/EHD has not been notified prior to the groundwater sampling events already performed at this site.
Please be informed that site inspections are an important aspect of local regulatory oversight. Please provide
this agency with 48 hours advance notice prior to any sampling at this site. Sample results obtained without
oversight may not be honored by PHS/EHD.
If you have any questions concerning this letter, please contact Linda Turkatte, REHS, of my staff at (209)
468-3441.
Jogi Khanna, M. , .P.H.
Health Officer
urie A.
