Public Health Service <br /> Environmental Health Division <br /> 445 No. San Joaquin Street <br /> Stockton, CA 95202 <br /> Ref: 2969 Loomis Road, Site Code 2015; submittal of workplan <br /> Attn: Linda Turkatte, EHS <br /> Dear Linda; <br /> On November 4, 1991 , I requested a one month extension for <br /> preparing a workplan for a groundwater investigation at the above <br /> site, citing the need to select a drilling contractor and review <br /> certain files at the EHD office. <br /> Drilling contractor bids have been received and are being <br /> evaluated; a decision should be made within the next few weeks. <br /> I have also reviewed the files on the EJJ Co. project located a <br /> short distance to the north of the Marci site. According to that <br /> file, a monitoring well was installed in January, . 1991 , but no <br /> written report has yet been furnished to the County EHD. The <br /> details of that work would be very helpful in determining current <br /> water levels, gradients, and other information. <br /> I have also been informed of another nearby site where some UST 's <br /> were regently removed, and possible additional investigative work <br /> may have occurred. We have not had time to determine the exact <br /> location and status of that project. Until we have an <br /> opportunity to obtain and evaluate this additional information, <br /> we are reluctant to prepare a workplan at this time. Therefore, <br /> we are requesting that the preparation of the workplan be delayed <br /> until the report on the activity at HJJ Co. is furnished, and we <br /> have had time to research other possible projects in the area. <br /> We will , of course, keep you informed of our progress; any <br /> additional information that you have which may impact upon this <br /> work would be greatly appreciated.
